Brent and Emily have always had a deep love for embracing life’s adventures. For nearly two decades, they have found joy in exploring the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains through climbing, hiking, and trail running. But amidst their mountain pursuits, they have never forgotten the dream they set sail on 21 years ago.

However, time seemed to slip through their fingers as they faced the challenges of Emily’s Parkinson’s disease over the past 12 years. Yet, the wait is over. Now is the moment when they can finally embark on the sailing journey they have longed for. It is an opportunity for them to truly experience the world together, hand in hand, as they navigate the open waters.

Sailing symbolizes freedom, discovery, and the boundless possibilities that exist beyond the horizon. It is a chance for Brent and Emily to break away from the confines of their daily lives and embrace the thrill of the unknown. Makara lazily sits on her Rocna anchor in La Paz Harbor.
