Puerto Salinas, situated on Isla Carmen, is a spacious anchorage. It offers superb shelter from the north winds, although caution is required during strong southern winds as the anchorage is fully exposed to the south. We discovered the beach to be easily accessible, and the intriguing sight of the old salt mining operation, complete with its decaying buildings, drying beds, and remarkably well-preserved church, added to the allure of the place.
